Julie LaBarge

Traditional Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine Practitioner

Julie is a licensed acupuncturist (LAc) with a focus on fertility, pregnancy, migraines, and orthopaedic conditions. She earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic (DC) Medicine and Master’s of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) from Southern California University of Health Sciences.

Her training blends Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a holistic system that views the body as an interconnected whole, with a western understanding of anatomy and physiology. In addition to classical acupuncture, she is trained in orthopaedic acupuncture which address musculoskeletal injuries with precise, evidence-based care. She also holds a 200-hour yoga teacher certification and is an OMNI-certified hypnotherapist, which further strengthen her mind-body approach to healing. Treatments often incorporate biomechanics, nutrition, and lifestyle support, and include a combination of acupuncture needles, cupping, gua sha, taping, or myotherapy; always tailored to the patient’s individual needs and goals.

Julie began her career in Beverly Hills, California under one of the city’s leading prenatal chiropractic specialists, supporting women with prenatal complaints, breech presentation, and labour preparation. She later joined a clinic known for its sports medicine work with professional athletes. Soon after she established her own private practice with a dual focus on sports injuries and women’s health.

Having been migraine-free for over 15 years, thanks to acupuncture, she is especially passionate about helping others find lasting relief from chronic headaches. She also used acupuncture during her own recovery from an MCL tear and a fractured knee. These experiences helped shape her grounded, empathetic approach to care.

Originally from California, Julie has lived and practiced in several countries and recently relocated to the UK. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, all things active, exploring new places, and running—though only when the sun’s out.
